Little Mermaid inspired blanket

I had these colors that got thrown together and I kept looking at them thinking that they reminded me of something.  Then it finally hit me.  The Little Mermaid.

I have had these colors sitting in the garage for about a year now, just waiting for me to make something out of them.  I was conflicted though since I didn't have a whole lot of any of the colors so I had to be careful with what I made.  I wanted to make a ripple blanket with them, but there wouldn't be enough for that.

Then I came across a picture on Instagram of this pattern.  I've made this pattern before and I distinctly remember not liking it, but it seemed like the only thing that was going to accommodate a blanket with what little yarn I had.

Once again, I wish I could tell you what yarns these are specifically, but I can't with certainty. The first color, the reddish one, is a Scheepjes Color Crafter color. The teal and purple, I believe, are Stylecraft Special DK in aspen and something.  And the pink is Stylecraft Life in ...

Hopefully that helps! lol.

I used a 4mm hook throughout and worked off the free pattern by Celeste Young.  It came out to a cute 36" across from point to point.  I worked this one up very quickly for me and finished it within a couple days.  I'm very happy with it and I hope that someone else will be just as happy with it.

This is now listed on my Etsy account (CourtsCraftsandMore).  Check it out!
