Deadpool Blanket

I started this blanket a long time ago...just under a year ago!  I wanted to make something for my fiancée's birthday that he would actually use and this is what I came up with.  His favorite comic book character is Deadpool and, at the time I was looking, the c2c graphgans were all the rage.

I had never even attempted a graphgan, let alone a c2c graphgan.  I had made a regular c2c blanket before but that was it.  I found the graph on Pinterest.  It was super easy to find.

Most of the yarn I used was Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn, but I couldn't tell you what the color titles are.  I used a 5.5mm hook throughout. It came out to around 45" square.  It took forever to finish because I was trying to only work on it when he wasn't home, then we moved, then I lost interest.  It took a lot of work and lots of color changes, especially in the face area.

I finally finished it right after Christmas and he was very excited to get it.  It now sits on our couch and gets very good use.

  1. This is so great!! I'm working on learning this technique now, and it's funny bc my son asked me to make him a Deadpool afghan. He's 9:) But I'm working on a Pokemon panel first. I hope my first one comes out as nice as yours!!
