Granny Stripe Blanket

I started a blanket a couple weeks ago just because I loved the colors so much.  I don't know why I've been so into more boyish colors, but I have been.  These are colors from the new collection at Joann's: Big & Twist Baby collection in cotton tail, bluebell, daffodil and goldfish.

I should be crocheting cute pink and purple items for my little girl, but I just couldn't bring myself to pass up these colors.  It reminds me of ducks on the water.
I used Attic24's granny stripe blanket pattern and I just love it.  It works up quick and the ends aren't terrible to work in.

For the border, I did three rows of hdc's in both loops, then I started the cable stitch in each of the colors.

In non-crochet related news, Ivy is 4 months old now!  I can't believe how time has gone by.  She's getting bigger every day and really starting to get a personality.  She loves her hands and has to have them in her mouth ALL THE TIME, loves to smile at everyone who will smile back at her, she's officially out of 0-3 month clothes and into size 2 diapers.  I just love her little face and she still enjoys her morning cuddles with mom :)

 And the other child...
He loves me, he really does!

Until next time!
